Job Title: Senior Test Automation Engineer (Fed/Civ)

Description

Serve as a senior-level test automation engineer supporting a large enterprise application modernization effort for our federal client.  The selected individual will have responsibility for testing and quality assurance activities of multiple applications. Building upon some existing test automation, the Senior Test Engineer will expand the existing testing and provide new automated test capabilities for applications under development. Automated test suites should be written in Cucumber to test the UI (written using React), The Test Engineer will also build functional test suites against GraphQL application APIs.

Responsibilities

• Expand upon existing Cucumber test automation to include more application modules and scenarios. Build additional or supporting test suites for the LIMS UI. Integrate the automated tests with existing integration environments in AKS.
• Build and integrate API-level tests for GraphQL APIs to verify data through queries and business logic through mutations. All test suites must be integrated with established CI/CD tools and AKS environments.
• Integrate all tests with established CI/CD tools and processes. All test execution must be integrated with existing integration environments hosted in Azure (using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service - AKS).
• Ensure all test results are published through existing CI/CD tools and use existing tools for reporting test results.

Requirements

Must be flexible, able to work in a highly collaborative environment, juggle multiple tasks at once, and work independently and collaboratively as needed. Must have superior interpersonal skills and strong communication skills. Be comfortable working directly with the Client Project Manager and Client Technical Lead to support emerging client needs.

• 5+ years' experience with the automated testing tools and techniques
• 3+ years’ experience using automated testing tools to include Cucumber, Selenium, Eggplant, etc.
• Experience operating in a Kubernetes/Docker Azure environment
• Experience operating in a CI/CD automated pipeline
• Ability to work with multiple streams of technical work, ensuring consistency across all projects.
• Ability to work with Agile and DevOps/DevSecOps processes.
• 3+ years of experience developing test scripts

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Federal agency experience
• Experience with testing containerized applications
• Excellent communication skills

 EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS)

• Per our Federal client’s request, United States Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to provide three past/current client references to new client prior to interview.
• Work location is Remote.
• Background and credit check is necessary to pass a Federal public trust clearance, which is necessary for this position.
