Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer (QA)

As a member of the company’s Information Technology team,
the QA Engineer is responsible for testing all code changes, ensuring the
customer’s requirements are met, and validating the overall quality of the
production systems.
Duties:
- Develop,
publish, and implement comprehensive test plans for complex
commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, such as Salesforce and SAP,
ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Conduct
functional, integration, system, and regression testing to
validate all software releases and ensure high standards of quality
and reliability.
- Analyze
functional requirements and design documentation to develop
detailed test plans that effectively cover specified use cases and edge
cases.
- Collaborate
closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners to
confirm that software functionality meets both technical specifications
and end-user needs.
- Design,
develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools like
Selenium and programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python to
streamline testing processes.
- Create
and maintain thorough documentation, including test cases and
results, to provide comprehensive insights for all testing phases.
- Define,
track, and report Quality Assurance metrics such as defect
density and open defect counts, ensuring accurate representation of
software quality and risk areas.
- Participate
in SOX compliance and audit activities to support regulatory and
organizational requirements.
- Facilitate
and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business
stakeholders to verify that software solutions meet real-world
requirements.
- Uphold
and exemplify CoreSite’s culture and Core Values, promoting best
practices in Quality Assurance and continuous improvement.
- Contribute
to special projects as needed, adapting to evolving business and
technical needs.
Requirements
- Ability
to thrive in a hybrid work environment, that consists of at
least two onsite days in downtown Denver office per week including
Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Flexibility
to work occasional evenings and weekends to support critical
system needs.
- Strong
focus on meeting deadlines and delivering quality work in a
fast-paced setting with shifting priorities.
- Self-motivated
and driven, with the ability to work independently and take
initiative.
- Solid
understanding of QA methodologies within Agile development
environments is essential.
- Advanced
analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex
testing issues.
- Strong
understanding of database structures and querying tools (e.g.,
Salesforce SOQL and SQL) for comprehensive data validation.
- Demonstrated
growth in technical, analytical, and QA capabilities, with a
strong track record in quality assurance and business analysis.
- Excellent
communication skills with the ability to convey complex
information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency
in the following tools is a plus: Agile Accelerator, Postman,
MuleSoft, Workbench, and Jira.
- Proficiency
in Selenium and Java/Python-based testing frameworks and tools to
create and maintain automated test scripts.
- Familiarity
with test management tools (e.g., TestRail or similar) is
required.
- Knowledge
of Continuous Integration (CI) tools like Jenkins and test
automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity
with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles
and frameworks.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s
degree in information technology, computer science, or a related
field.
- At
least 3-5 years of experience in IT Quality Assurance, with a
solid foundation in manual and automated testing.
- Experience
in API testing is required, including the ability to design, execute,
and analyze API test cases for functionality, reliability, and performance
using tools such as JMeter, Postman, and SOA Test.
- Experience
working within Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies is
required.
- Strong
experience in system and functional testing for Salesforce, including
end-to-end workflow validation.
- At
least 1-2 years of experience in test automation, including experience
building and executing automated test cases strongly preferred.
- Experience
testing Salesforce or other CPQ Tool transformations and/or Data
Transformation projects strongly preferred.
- Experience
in new product development testing within the Telecommunications
or Data Center industry, with a solid understanding of network-based
products, strongly desired.
- Experience
in testing telephony and/or network-based products preferred.

Compensation:
Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary
from $82,000 to $97,000. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and
equity, based upon individual and company performance.
