Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation)

Riseup Labs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of software testing methodologies and extensive hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks. This role requires proficiency in working within an Agile environment and familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and related methodologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for functional and non-functional testing
• Automate test cases using modern testing frameworks
• Perform Web, API, and Mobile app testing to ensure software quality
• Conduct load and stress testing using tools such as JMeter, K6
• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools
• Perform regression, performance, and security testing as needed
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX designers to uphold quality standards
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless automated test execution
• Analyze test results, conduct root cause analysis, and propose improvements
• Maintain and update test documentation, reports, and quality guidelines

Educational Requirements:

• B.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering from any reputed public or private university.

Additional Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, automation, and QA processes
• Expertise in Web & API automation using frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
• Experience in mobile automation (a plus)
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub)
• Proficiency in automation scripting using Java/Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Experience with test case management tools and bug-tracking systems
• Strong understanding of manual and automation testing methodologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration (preferred)
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, K6 (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Open to collaborating with an offshore team if required.
