Job Title: QA Automation Engineer - Playwright Testing

About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript and Playwright to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the exceptional quality and reliability of our web applications by designing, developing, and executing robust automated test scripts. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and other QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver a seamless and high-performing user experience.

Responsibilities :

- Design and Develop Automation Frameworks : Architect, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient automation test frameworks using JavaScript and Playwright.

- Create and Execute Automated Tests : Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, regression, smoke, and other testing types to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Identify and Report Defects : Accurately identify, document, and track software defects using test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

- Analyze Test Results : Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting potential risks and areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure quality throughout the development process.

- Improve QA Processes : Continuously evaluate and improve existing QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Participate in Code Reviews : Engage in code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure best practices, maintainability, and reusability.

- Stay Current with Technologies : Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation and software quality assurance.

Qualifications :

- Overall Experience : Minimum of 3 years of comprehensive experience in software testing, with a significant and demonstrable focus on automation.

- Automation Expertise : At least 2 years of hands-on, practical experience in developing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright and JavaScript.

- QA Methodologies : Solid understanding and practical application of various QA methodologies, testing types (e.g., UI testing, API testing, Regression testing, Smoke testing, Performance testing, Security testing), and software testing life cycles.

- Tools Proficiency : Proven experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

- Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to identifying root causes of issues.

- Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Team Player : Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
