Job Title: Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Collaborate with client stakeholders product owners and developers during Agile ceremonies to understand requirements and shape testing strategies
- Develop execute and maintain comprehensive test plans scripts and automation frameworks.
- Perform functional regression smoke and system integration testing; contribute to usability 508 compliance security and performance testing as needed.
- Own the defect lifecyclelog track and validate resolution of issues; provide detailed documentation and communicate clearly with developers and analysts.
- Create testing reports to understand code quality identify defects and issues then develop strategies for resolution
- Support backlog grooming sprint planning and retrospectives with insights from a QA perspective.
- Participate in user demos conduct training and provide production support for releases.
- Current active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. U.S. Citizenship (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related technical field
- 4 years of experience in software testing including creating and executing test cases and managing defects
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and test management tools (e.g. JIRA Selenium SonarQube Wireshark)
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Bonus Points (Desired):
- Experience supporting Federal clients or within secure environments
- Familiarity with security and performance testing tools
- ISTQB or comparable QA certification
- Hybrid in Washington DC
- Position requires a current active Top-Secret clearance with the capability to obtain an (SCI) as requested by the government. U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Occasional travel to Winchester VA
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 100k-115k
