Job Title: Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our global technology team. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of the QA process, lead and mentor junior team members, and establish best practices to ensure the highest levels of product quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will combine technical excellence with leadership skills and a passion for building scalable QA processes

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and establish QA processes, standards, and best practices across projects.
2. Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, promoting a quality-first culture.
3. Collaborate with product and project managers, developers, and stakeholders to review and refine product requirements.
4. Translate requirements into comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases.
5. Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, UAT, and exploratory testing
6. Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts (using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
7. Conduct API testing using tools like Postman.
8. Execute performance and load testing using tools like JMeter and Selenium.
9. Perform security testing, identifying vulnerabilities such as SQL injections, cross-site scripting, and unauthorized access.
10. Manage the full defect lifecycle: identification, documentation, prioritization, tracking, and closure using tools like Jira or Azure Boards.
11. Ensure comprehensive QA documentation, including test plans, test results, and quality metrics.
12. Lead QA activities in Agile/Scrum teams and actively participate in ceremonies and planning sessions.
13. Communicate quality metrics and risks to leadership and project teams.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 1 to 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Proficiency in various testing types, including white-box, black-box, unit, functional, and non-functional testing.
• Experience with load testing and performance testing tools like JMeter and Selenium.
• Familiarity with security testing, including SQL injections, cross-site scripting, and unauthorized access.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Ability to design and develop automated test scripts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements and technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
