Key Responsibilities – SQA Engineer at SIRP
- Design and execute effective manual test cases for the product and APIs based on product requirements and technical documentation.
- Independently perform all aspects of testing, including smoke, functional, integration, system, regression, and automation testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and engineers, to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues by reviewing system behavior, logs, and data flows to assist in root-cause identification. Create and maintain structured test documentation, including test cases, test execution results, and QA sign-offs. Actively participate in sprint ceremonies, contributing to story refinement and test planning. Track and manage defects using Jira, ensuring clear documentation, prioritization, and timely resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test life cycle, and defect management. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar. Familiarity with Automated testing and API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and scripting is a plus.
