Alex Staff Agency is hiring Senior SDET/QA Automation Engineer

Job Description

A global product company with over 14 years of experience building high-load Linux-based solutions for hosting and cybersecurity is looking for an experienced Senior SDET/QA Automation Engineer.

Their technologies run on 500,000+ servers worldwide, trusted by major hosting providers and tech companies like Dell, GoDaddy, and 1&1. The fully remote team includes 250+ engineers across the globe.

The company is known for its strong engineering culture and deep focus on systems programming, DevOps, and security.

You will be working on a solution that enables real-time application of security patches to active processes without requiring a system reboot.

Your tasks on the position:

Taking responsibility for the automated testing system
Ensuring test stability and performance
Developing and maintaining new tests for Linux-based OS
Maintaining and improving CI/CD
Diving deep to find problems in the product/tests
Communicating with development teams to establish fast and reliable testing and release processes
Keeping test system documentation up to date

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Test Automation (SDET / QA Automation role)
5+ years of hands-on experience with Python as the main programming language
Solid commercial experience with Linux (incl. system administration, package management, firewall/server configuration) and shell scripting (bash)
Experience designing and maintaining test infrastructure using tools like Ansible and Docker
Hands-on experience with CI/CD (e.g. Gerrit, Jenkins), including setup and support
Good understanding of DevOps practices in the context of automation engineering
Strong knowledge of functional, regression, and performance testing
English B2+

Will be a plus:

Experience with live-patching, hot-swap, or similar technologies
Knowledge of C/C++ and low-level library behavior, or at least willingness to work with them
