The Role
Kyndryl is on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Software
Engineer who is passionate about delivering top-notch cloud-based managed
services to our clients. As a QA Software Engineer at Kyndryl, you will be at
the forefront of ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards
of quality, reliability, and performance.
Your role will involve using your expertise to define test
strategies, test specifications, test cases, and test plans based on design
documentation, functional specifications, and high-level design documents. You
will work closely with other engineering squads/tribes to develop new features
and products, and ensure that the implemented components are feature,
integration, and system tested before being released to our customers.
You will also be responsible for automating test cases to
build test suits for regression, scalability, and performance testing. You will
analyze, track, and verify defects during the software development lifecycle,
and contribute to designing, developing, implementing, executing, and
troubleshooting automated test tools, test frameworks, and test scripts for
application and API testing.
As a QA Software Engineer at Kyndryl, you will be the go-to
person for developing, executing, and maintaining automation tests for
acceptance, functional, and regression test cases for the identified
areas/modules/technology. You will also be responsible for accurately
documenting and communicating issues to developers to facilitate elimination of
problems and to create efficient fixes.

play a pivotal role in determining these practices and principles. You will
also be responsible for leading quality engineering discussions and mentoring
other QA Engineers in debugging, planning, and domain expertise.

Roles & Responsibility -
- Drive and own the test approach for each story delivered
- Driving discussion and ownership around Unit, Functional,
performance, and security
- Take an ‘automation first’ approach to all stories, using
discussion, debate and risk to find the right balance between automated and
exploratory testing.
- Enable and support each person in the squad to think quality
and test at the right time
- Drive the collaborative approach by organizing test mobbing
and pairing sessions with the squad
- Attend and contribute in all agile ceremonies, and
proactively support all members
- Identify risk at every stage and communicate the impact of
the risks so that everyone can understand, and decisions can be made by Product
Owner, DM, and the squad
- Ensure the outcomes of testing are easily turned into
information for others to digest, and use your knowledge and experiences from
being a Test Analyst to help and steer others to make the right decisions on
risk
- Work with the QA Principal to be aware of software industry
developments and continually review testing processes and strategies to ensure
that the squad remain current Involvement in the story inception ensuring a
test-driven approach is adopted on each piece of work

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
8 years’ experience in QA Leadership
Strong experience in QA planning, including developing test
strategies, schedules, and resource management.
Familiarity with Oracle Retail applications, including
Dropship, OMS, OSL, and WMS
Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders,
offering clear and concise reporting of testing outcomes.
Strong knowledge of modern software testing methodologies,
tools and processes
Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate and a curious,
learning and brave approach to work
Experience in mentoring teams in their approach to QA
Experience working in an Agile development process
Great exploratory testing skills and experience.
Experience of Test Driven approaches to software engineering
(ATDD, BDD & TDD)
Experience with automation with a level of proficient in one
language and have the ability to learn others
Experience in use of tools to solve test efficiency issues,
such as use of SOAP and/or REST API testing, using tools such as Postman,
Swagger, SOAPUI
Experience of non-functional testing, particularly
performance and security testing
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Experience with Jira for managing test cases, bug tracking,
and workflow management.
Proficiency in using Confluence for documentation,
collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases, validating
test data, and performing backend
Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing, writing
and executing test scripts, and analyzing responses.
