Job Title: Quality Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Engineer in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities:
* Quality Engineer will perform UI Testing for functional and technical flow
* Perform API/Event based testing for inbound and outbound data
* Participate in all business discussions, ask appropriate questions on usage, and document the test cases
* Perform testing on source to destination one on one mapping at data ingestion to raw layer
* Perform testing on transformation rules and data curation from landing zone to transformation layers
* Perform testing to make sure shared layer data is as per consumer requirements/test cases met 100% and aligned with data strategy principles
* As a Quality Engineer, you will perform SLA testing for both inbound and outbound data
* Building and maintaining automated test cases

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong QA Engineering background (5-7+ years) background with emphasis on UI testing and Data testing for functional/technical coverages
* Strong QA Engineering automation frameworks for both UI and Data
* Proven experience with end-to-end integration and regression testing for complex, distributed systems
* Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines, file transfer processes, and data ingestion frameworks
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into release workflows (GitHub Actions, etc.)
* Expertise in SQL for data validation, writing queries, and verifying transformations across raw, curated, and shared layers
* Solid knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or similar) and scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.) to build/maintain automated test cases
* Familiarity with on-prem platforms and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Informatica, or equivalent) a plus
* Understanding of performance and SLA testing for data pipelines and APIs
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across business, product, and engineering teams
* Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders, document test strategies, and articulate issues clearly
* Ability to analyze transformation rules, data mappings, and business rules, and translate them into comprehensive test cases

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
