The Opportunity

The QA Functional Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality and reliability of our software and technology solutions. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers and product managers, to design and execute test plans, identify and report defects and verify bug fixes. The QA Functional Engineer’s attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills will contribute to the successful delivery of top-notch I.T. products and services. This position will report to the QA Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Design test cases and scenarios to cover all aspects of functional and non-functional requirements using Jira.

Perform manual testing to validate the functionality and performance of software applications, APIs, databases and user interfaces.

Conduct regression testing to ensure that code changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.

Work closely with the product and development teams to address issues, clarify requirements, and drive defect resolution.

Propose ideas and contribute towards the enhancement of QA methodologies, best practices, and standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2+ years of proven experience in manual and/or automated testing techniques.

Ability to communicate with developers, product managers and other cross functional members of a team.

Ability to work remotely.

Ability to develop functional, regression and user-focused test plans and strategies using product requirements and design documents.

Experience with Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).

Proficiency in writing test scripts in Jira for both UI and RESTful API scenarios.

Proficiency in performing ad hoc RESTful API testing using Postman and/or SoapUI.

Intermediate understanding of HTML and CSS.
