Job Description

We are looking for Embedded Firmware Quality Assurance Engineers to join our fast-paced, innovative environment at FusionHit. You’ll be part of a dynamic team verifying and validating software and firmware for RFID-based solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded systems, collaborate with talented engineers, and ensure product excellence through rigorous testing and automation.

Our client operates in the RFID technology industry, delivering scalable, high-performance solutions for global applications. The project focuses on ensuring reliability, accuracy, and performance of embedded software and firmware products through thorough QA practices.

Location: Must reside and have work authorization in Latin America.
Availability: Must be available to work with significant overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST).

The Ideal Candidate Has:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Firmware or Embedded Software QA, validation, or verification.
Strong understanding of hardware components and systems.
Hands-on experience testing RFID fixed readers or embedded firmware solutions.
Solid knowledge of GRPC, MQTT Protocols, REST, and SOAP API testing.
Experience with tools such as Postman, WinSCP, FileZilla, PuTTY, and Wireshark for network traffic analysis.
Proven experience with Defect Tracking (Jira) and Test Management (Xray) tools.
Self-starter, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered).

Nice to have:

Experience with programming languages such as C++ and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze software and firmware requirements to prepare detailed test specifications.
Perform verification and validation (V&V) testing on applications, middleware, and embedded systems.
Execute tests, identify defects, and create detailed test reports.
Participate in project meetings and provide daily task and progress updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to the Client’s Software Development Process.
Contribute to improving QA practices and test automation for embedded firmware products.
